On 16 October 2026, from 09:30 to 17:00 CEST, the European Commission will hold the online Horizon Europe Info Day: Horizontal Activities Nature and Bridging Calls, focusing on the new calls under the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026–2027.
The Nature calls support research and innovation for biodiversity and nature protection, for example through living labs, assessments of the impacts of industrial activities on biodiversity, and the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence for environmental data collection.
The Bridging calls are designed to facilitate the transition between the current and the next EU Framework Programme and focus on knowledge valorisation, the uptake of research results, research infrastructures, data access and artificial intelligence.
Participants will learn about the objectives of the calls, receive practical guidance on proposal preparation and can ask questions during interactive Q&A sessions, including in advance via Slido using the code #HORIZONTAL.
The event will be live-streamed. The detailed programme and live stream are available on the Horizon Europe info day: Horizontal Activities Nature and Bridging calls.
